Florence High School/Middle School evacuates due to bomb threat
FLORENCE, Wis. (WJFW) — Florence High School/Middle School is the second local school to report a threat Friday morning. Hurley School District also reported receiving a threatening call Friday morning. Florence High School and Middle School received a bomb threat involving the middle/high school building, a Florence County School District news release said. In accordance with our established safety procedures, the building was evacuated at around 10:35 a.m., according to the release.

Around 10:30 a.m. Friday, the Hurley School District received a threatening call and the school went into a lockdown and police were notified. According to a Hurley School District release, many officers arrived, thoroughly inspected the school, and ensured everyone remained safe.
