DANVERS ‐ There is a reason that Ryan Day and Ohio State have come calling, and it was on full display in Danvers as St. John’s Prep quarterback and Buckeye commit Chris Vargas threw for 288 yards and four touchdowns in the first half as the top ranked Eagles improved to 5-0 with a 43-7 Win over BC High. After a rare off day through the air in the Eagles Week 4 win over La Salle Academy (RI) the St. John’s Prep wasted no time getting the passing attack going.

DORCHESTER ― Coming off a 7-0 loss against Shawsheen Tech, the Shamrocks of Bishop Feehan had no trouble getting back into the win column. Down multiple starters on the offensive line due to injury, the revamped group helped power Xavier Baker to 155 rushing yards and two touchdowns as the 15th ranked Shamrocks cruised to a 28-7 win against BC High. “In eight years here at Feehan this might have been as satisfying a win as me and my staff have had”, said Bishop Feehan head coach Bryan Pinabell.

NEWTON ― Trailing 6-0 at the half against a favored Weymouth squad, Newton North head coach Nick Capodilupo decided to take a major gamble, and it paid off. The Tigers came out of halftime with a surprise onside kick. Newton North would recover and march down the field on a touchdown scoring drive that would give them a lead they would not relinquish as the Tigers upset the Wildcats, 14-12, to improve to 3-0 on the season.
