ZZ Top scrapped its Aug. 5 concert at the Hollywood Bowl due to Drummer Frank Beard facing health issues. The band pushes forward on its tour with Michael Monahan taking over the drums. Billy Gibbons took to social media about the cancellation. "Insurmountable obstacles require canceling our Hollywood Bowl performance," Gibbons wrote.

Mick Jagger is letting listeners in on how the Rolling Stones' music is created. The vocalist sat down with producer Andrew Watt to dissect the Rolling Stones track "Mr. Charm" from Foreign Tongues. Chicago has announced 19 new tour dates spanning September through November. This extends their current run after a joint tour with Styx wraps up on Sept. 6. The band will continue their run of performances on Sept. 17 in Paso Robles, California. The shows will take the band through mid-November, finishing up Nov. 18 in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Stops include Spokane, Atlantic City, and Youngstown, Ohio. Co-founder Lee Loughnane continues to perform on trumpet and vocals.

Rolling Stone reported that Monahan will fill in for Beard as ZZ Top continues its scheduled performances. The move allows the band to maintain its touring commitments despite the temporary change in its lineup.

The life and legacy of Rush drummer and lyricist Neil Peart will take center stage at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival with the world premiere of the new documentary Neil Peart: No One’s Disciple. The 96-minute film, directed by Scot McFadyen and Sam Dunn, will premiere September 16 at TIFF, followed by a public screening on September 19. It will later air on Canada's CBC network on September 23 as part of The Passionate Eye.

The 83-year-old frontman shared the clip weeks after his birthday, shimmying his hips beneath a disco ball as if time had stopped for him. A 12-year-old boy suffered a head injury after falling from an MBTA Red Line train car early Tuesday morning in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood. It happened just before 1 a.m. The train had left from the JFK-UMass stop. Transit authorities said the child was trying to "train surf" when he fell. He suffered a serious head injury that wasn't life-threatening. MBTA Transit Police said they hope the boy makes a full recovery.
