Firefighter stung by swarm of yellow jackets while battling house fire
SANDY SPRINGS, GA — A Sandy Springs firefighter was stung multiple times after being swarmed by yellow jackets while responding to a house fire. Officials said the firefighter was trying to connect a hose to a fire hydrant when he disturbed a yellow jacket nest and was swarmed. A Sandy Springs police officer used a fire extinguisher to spray the hive and the firefighter to stop the attack. The firefighter was treated for multiple stings and is expected to be okay.

Bison attacks grandfather in Yellowstone, tossing him in air
A Washington man is recovering from surgery after being tossed in the air like a rag doll by a bison in Yellowstone National Park. [ Read more trending news ] The incident was caught on video, but it may be disturbing to some. The attack happened Friday night at Bridge Bay Campground near Yellowstone Lake in Wyoming, The New York Times reported. A bull that was said to have been visibly agitated was roaming in the campground and had charged other visitors, Mike MacLeod said.
