ATLANTA — The Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is proposing changes to the state’s endangered species list for the first time in 20 years. The proposal would add about 145 species to the protected list while removing about 40. The list includes animals, insects and plants. “20 years, which is a long time. So that’s really why we have so many changes this time, we are aiming to update our list every 10 years after this,” DNR’s Trina Morris said.

A recall affecting berries has been expanded and now involves the Great Value brand Organic Triple Berry Blend sold at Walmart. They were produced by Frutas y Hortalizas del Sur S.A. The fruit was recalled because of an E. coli outbreak. Seventeen people have been infected in Florida and Georgia, with six hospitalizations.

Two supplements marketed for dogs are being recalled over concerns that the products may be contaminated with salmonella, federal health officials said Tuesday. Fi distributed the supplements nationally to customers through online outlets such as Amazon and Chewy.com.

ATLANTA — A Russian national is accused of using fake search engine advertisements and spoofed banking websites as part of a multimillion-dollar bank account takeover scheme. Federal prosecutors in Atlanta say 36-year-old Sergei Filimonov used phony Google and Bing bank advertisements to target unsuspecting online banking customers. He is accused of using spoofed domains designed to mimic legitimate bank websites.
