TPD investigating potential shooting at Governor's Square Mall
SOUTH TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) — Tallahassee police officers are investigating a potential shooting at Governor's Square Mall. Multiple neighbors reported hearing gunshots inside the building. Police announced their investigation Saturday afternoon and said they had not found anyone on scene who was hurt by gunfire. Police say the mall went on lockdown for a time. It has since reopened. They're urging anyone with more information to call 850-891-4200.
Double homicide suspect back in Wakulla County after extradition
WAKULLA COUNTY, FL — A double homicide suspect is back in Wakulla County following his arrest in Mexico last month. Raker faces two counts of homicide for the deaths of Rebecca Lynn Thomas and John William Luper III. The Wakulla County Sheriff's Office released a video of Raker in their custody on Saturday. Following his arrest in Mexico, Raker was transferred to the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office in Texas before being extradited back to Florida.
Ceiling collapses inside Kennedy Center amid fight over Trump-led renovations
A chunk of ceiling fell inside a main hallway of the Kennedy Center, according to a spokesperson who said the damage underscores the need to shut down the historic arts venue for renovations sought by President Donald Trump. No one was injured when a piece of the ceiling inside the Kennedy Center's grand foyer collapsed Friday evening, said Roma Daravi, the center's vice president for public relations.

Lanier County Sheriff Nick Norton said Alyssa Hires was last seen at a store in the area of Hill Avenue and Central Avenue.
