The Noblesville Parks Foundation, which supports and enhances parks, recreation opportunities and community experiences in Noblesville, will present a free Rock & Relief concert from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Sept. 5 at Forest Park to support the community following historic flooding. Rock & Relief will feature live music from The Flying Toasters and City of Sound and an opportunity to support neighbors facing the process of recovering and rebuilding after the flooding.

Construction at the Allisonville Road and 116th Street intersection in Fishers is ongoing with a tentative late-October completion date, and some added work. The city’s Board of Public Works and Safety voted Aug. 25 in favor of an approximately $346,000 change order for the project to reconstruct entrances to businesses next to the work area.

Westfield Mayor Scott Willis announced Aug. 28 that a new proposal that includes a Costco store has been filed with the city and will start moving through the review process. “The Midtown at Westfield PUD, Amendment II, was filed today for the northwest corner of 191st Street and East Street,” Willis stated. “The proposal includes a 166,739-square-foot Costco retail warehouse and a fueling facility with 32 pumping stations.” Willis stated that the project will be introduced during the Sept.

For about an hour Aug. 28 during the busy morning school bus and commute time, Westfield residents were warned to avoid the area around Casey Acres Apartments due to “police activity,” and nearby residents were asked to remain indoors. At 6:29 a.m., the Westfield Police Department posted on its Facebook page, “Police activity in the area of Casey Acres Apartments. Please avoid the area.

A three-year partnership approved by the Hamilton County Commissioners is expected to enhance access to specialized services around the clock for victims of child and elder abuse in Hamilton County. The partnership is with the Cherish Center, a nationally accredited child advocacy center in Carmel, and will provide specialized forensic interviewing and victim advocacy services 24 hours a day.

PARK AFTER DARK Fishers Parks will host an evening 21+ hangout at Geist Waterfront Park, set for 8 to 11 p.m. Sept. 4. MashCraft Brewing will be on site with adult beverages for sale and there will be a fire pit and music. Participants are encouraged to bring their own seating to the free event. Indiana Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton and Indianapolis Colts quarterback Daniel Jones captained teams competing in the Pacers Foundation Charity Softball Classic Aug. 24 at Victory Field in Indianapolis. Former Colts punter and sports personality Pat McAfee emceed the event. The softball classic supported Drive & Dish, a free program founded by Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle to connect Hoosier families with nutritious food. Haliburton’s team dominated the game, winning 28-6.

After nearly four years of owning Bober Tea & Mochi Dough, Hari and Aparna Prasad have ceased operations as a franchise and launched their own concept, Bobalato & Mochi Co. The storefront remains at 110 W. Main St. ,Suite 106.

Ben’s Ranch Foundation, a Noblesville-based nonprofit that helps teenagers facing mental and emotional health challenges, is launching a new education program for Hamilton County high school students. The first-of-its-kind coursework will provide work-based learning about animal science and incorporate Social Emotional Learning, or SEL, and workforce development content. Classes will be held at Koteewi Stables and other area farms and agribusinesses.

Noblesville Schools students achieved a 92 percent pass rate on the state IREAD standardized test during the 2025-26 school year, rising from an 88.6 percent pass rate during the 2024-25 school year, according to the Indiana Department of Education. Indiana Reading Evaluation and Determination scores from 2026 spring assessments were released by the state Aug. 11. IREAD measures foundational reading skills through the end of third grade.
