Westfield Grand Park zoning district proposed

Ed Koczan used to play “shopkeeper” when he was a kid and he’s made that childhood dream a reality with his new store, Pop Junction, a small-batch specialty popcorn shop in the heart of Westfield. Koczan, a Westfield resident since 2012, has worked in sales and marketing and said he started looking for business opportunities a few years ago. He considered a variety of options, from construction to LEGO resale. But then, he said, he and his wife were watching a documentary about a popcorn business.

Westfield council urged to make Tomlinson Road crossing safer

Although it wasn’t an agenda item, the recent death of a Westfield child who was hit by a car on Tomlinson Road was a topic of discussion during the June 22 Westfield City Council meeting. Two people spoke during public comment, urging the city to establish an immediate fix to improve public safety, even if officials want to find a different long-term solution.
