My name is Meg O'Connor, and I am a freelance writer living outside New Orleans, Louisiana. I have a B.A. in Philosophy from Williams College in Massachusetts, where I contributed to the Williams Record, served as an editor for the literary magazine Monkeys with Typewriters, and tutored young students in reading and writing. Always after the next adventure, I've worked at a dude ranch in Wyoming, hunted dinosaur fossils with paleontologists in Alaska, and sailed through the Suez Canal on an oceanographic research trip. I am also a runner, hiker, and backpacker. I've published several short stories and pieces of creative nonfiction. As a professional hydrologist during the day (with an M.S. in deltaic sedimentology- AKA mud), I am always eager to write about anything pertaining to science, the outdoors, or adventure.
