Megan Clement is a journalist and editor specialising in gender, human rights, international development and social policy. She also writes about Paris, where she has lived since 2015.
Between 2017 and 2018, Megan was Managing Editor of Women’s Advancement Deeply, and its earlier incarnation, Women & Girls, at News Deeply.
Before that, Megan was a foundation editor of The Conversation, helping launch the site in Australia, the UK and the US. She was Deputy Editor of the UK and subsequently the Global edition.
In 2018, she won an ILO media award for her editing of a piece investigating the conditions of migrant workers in Gulf states.
In 2012, her work with Professor Sharon Pickering on asylum seeker policy in Australia won a Human Rights Award in the media category. She is a mentor with the Coalition for Women in Journalism.
