Mitochondria-targeted ruthenium(II) complexes for photodynamic therapy and GSH detection in living cells
Mitochondria-targeted ruthenium(II) complexes for photodynamic therapy and GSH detection in living cells Photodynamic therapy is an emerging tumor therapy that kills tumor cells by activating reactive oxygen species (ROS) produced by photosensitizers. Mitochondria, as an important organelle, are the main generator of cellular ROS. Therefore, the development of photosensitizers capable of targeting mitochondria could significantly enhance the efficacy of photodynamic therapy.

Ultrasensitive photoelectrochemical immunoassay for prostate-specific antigen based on silver nanoparticles-triggered ion-exchange reaction with ZnO/CdS nanorods
Ultrasensitive photoelectrochemical immunoassay for prostate-specific antigen based on silver nanoparticles-triggered ion-exchange reaction with ZnO/CdS nanorods Prostate-specific antigen (PSA), a glycoprotein that is most likely to cause prostate cancer, has attracted widespread attention in recent years due to its increasing threat to people's life and health.
In-situ synthesis of fluorescent polydopamine nanoparticles coupled with enzyme-controlled dissolution of MnO2 nanoflakes for sensitive immunoassay of cancer biomarkers - Journal of Materials Chemistry B (RSC Publishing)
Herein, a novel immunosensing strategy was designed for sensitive fluorescence/visual detection of alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) by combining with enzyme-controlled formation of polydopamine (PDA) nanoparticles and dissolution of manganese dioxide (MnO2) nanoflakes. Initially, a sandwich-type immunoreaction was fabricated on the capture antibody-coated microplate by using detection antibody/ascorbate oxidase-conjugating gold nanoparticles (AOX-AuNP-Ab2) as the detection probe.
A Luminescent and Colorimetric Probe Based on Functionalization of Gold Nanoparticles by Ruthenium(II) Complexes for Heparin Detection
A sensitive assay was demonstrated for colorimetric and luminescent detecting for heparin. The positively-charged [Ru(phen)2np]2+ (np: naphtho[2,3-f][1,10]phenanthroline) can interact with the negatively-charged AuNPs through electrostatic interaction, leading to the luminescence quenching of [Ru(phen)2np]2+ via the energy transfer as well as the aggregation of AuNPs together with a color change in solution from red to blue.
Long-Range, Polymer Chain Dynamics of a “Stiff” Polymer. Fluorescence from Poly(isobutylene-alt-maleic anhydride) with N-(1-Pyrenylmethyl)succinimide Groups - Macromolecules (ACS Publications)
The steady-state fluorescence (SSF) spectra and time-resolved fluorescence (TRF) decays of five poly(isobutylene-alt-maleic anhydride) copolymers (PIMA), randomly labeled with N-(1-pyrenylmethyl)succinimide groups (Py-PIMA), have been analyzed in order to describe their long-range, polymer chain dynamics (LRPCD) and to assess the stiffness of the PIMA backbone compared to that of a series of poly(alkyl methacrylate)s whose LRPCD had already been investigated.
Photophysics of Pyrenyl-Functionalized Poly(isobutylene-alt-maleic anhydride) and Poly(isobutylene-alt-maleic N-alkylimide). Influence of Solvent, Degree of Substitution, and Temperature - Macromolecules (ACS Publications)
A series of polymers derived from poly(isobutylene-alt-maleic anhydride) (PIMA) with ca. 1% to >90% of the anhydride units randomly substituted with 1-pyrenylmethylimido groups (Py-PIMA) has been synthesized and characterized. The remaining anhydride units in the Py-PIMA with 10% pyrenyl substitution have been converted to N-hexyl and N-decyl imides.
