How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

Please pitch via email, make sure you've read the type of articles I write so your idea is relevant. Pitching ahead of an embargo is helpful

Why did you become a journalist?

Because I love telling stories and helping people understand what they can do to protect the ocean (even if they don't live by the coast)

Any time is fine but please pitch via email. If you're suggesting a new paper/study, please give me a heads up ahead of the publication date

What's the worst pitch you ever got?

Probably an update from a fishing trawler company who didn't check what I write about (marine conservation!)

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Ideally: diving, on a boat, doing yoga or hanging out with friends.
