I am an expert on all things vintage with a strong knowledge in antiques along with a new interest in art. I began selling vintage online in 1998. Since then, online sales continue and I've added local shows to the line up. My long term goal is to bring an elements of local shows "online" and more virtual attention to what is happening at the local level.
The Chicago area has an amazing "vintage" pulse. I'm proud to be finishing the second year of Vintage Garage Chicago in the Uptown neighborhood. It is monthly in an unused parking garage and it fills up with vintage vendors where we buy and sell for the day. The group of vendors is young and up and coming in the business. We've heard stories of great finds which of course no one wants to talk about to much and give up their vintage hunting ground secrets.
This year we added North Shore Flea in Highwood, IL, Grand Rapids Antiques Market and the Dallas Vintage Clothing and Jewelry Show. There aren't many new shows out there. We consider ourselves pioneers in a new age of vintage.
