Introduction The global refugee crisis continues to escalate, with over 35.3 million refugees worldwide, more than half of whom are children under 18 (UNHCR 2023). In Norway, where refugees comprise more than 5.7% of the population (Statistics Norway 2024), the need for effective social integration strategies is even more pressing. Approximately 10% of these refugees are children (Mathisen et al. 2024), making it important for strategies to enhance their development opportunities and well-being.
