Michael Baggs’s Biography
I am an experienced journalist and editor, having spent six years working with BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat, as a reporter and then senior reporter - focused online.
In that role I’ve reported extensively on issues affecting young people - including LGBTQ+ issues, mental health, identity, entertainment and much more.
As a senior reporter, I was responsible for all the online content produced by Newsbeat’s young team - and my role also involved mentoring young talent, commissioning news and features on a daily basis and editing written and video content for the BBC news site.
