US and European LevFin Primary Markets Turn Sour as Buy-Siders Become Credit Selective, Demand Attractive Pricing
Leveraged finance dealmakers across the United States and Europe have had a difficult time pricing primary deals in October as buy-side participants have become more credit selective as rising interest rates rattle market conditions. A number of leveraged loan deals have priced wider than initial price talk with more lender-friendly covenant language as investors ask arrangers for more protection in new issuance. In some cases, deals have been postponed or pulled altogether.

Volatility Drives Down AI Infrastructure Sentiment; CoreWeave, Zenith Arc Take The Pain

The dual roles of uterine monocytes in regulation of tissue homeostasis throughout reproductive cycles in health and disease
|
Abstract Inflammation occurs during the recurring cycles of tissue degradation, repair and remodeling in the uterus, but the mechanisms by which the immune system contributes to uterine tissue integrity are unclear. We reveal that uterine monocytes have dual roles in both tissue remodeling and inflammation, depending on the reproductive cycle stage.

Letter: St. Helena needs a professional city manager
I listened to the city council meeting on the recruitment plan, as well as reading the staff report, recruiting firm bios, comment letters and at least some of the Nextdoor neighborhood comments about our upcoming recruitment effort. First I would like to mention that I think our Administrative Services Director Mandy Kellogg has a good plan for recruitment, and I was impressed with the stated credentials of the recruiting firms who bid on the job.
Opinion: How to fix water bills so conservation pays off
Reading Time: 3 minutes A homeowner in Wauwatosa can do exactly what public messaging asks: take shorter showers, time irrigation thoughtfully, fix leaks and otherwise reduce water use. Then the quarterly bill arrives, and the cost barely moves. The homeowner might jump to a dangerous conclusion: that conservation is symbolic, not economic. It’s an understandable reaction to misaligned incentives.
Letter: Balancing tourism with the local community
This is in response to Suzanne Truchard's editorial ("Counterproductive land-use rules put Napa’s economy at risk" published Dec. 18, 2025). I partly agree, partly disagree. More, it’s not that I think her views are untrue; it is that there is more to the story. In terms of the new groundwater per acre fee of $100, the state is mandating that we cut our annual ground water use from 17,500 acre feet to 15,000 in order to be sustainable. Monitoring that is already costing the county $2 million a year.
Letter: Winery regulations exist for a reason
They believe they are over regulated, and in some cases, I might agree with her, but it is important to remember that those regulations are in place so that this very small county with very limited highway access does not get overwhelmed. I would dare say for at least many of us that has already happened. Wineries are not like any other business; that is why we have to impose limits on them.
Letter: Council made right call on Porchfest
I would like to commend our city council for voting down the Porchfest event, I believe they made the right decision. I was kind of meh about the whole thing, could have went either way, and then last week there were three loud music events I could hear from my deck, and two big music events at Krug. I found myself thinking, do we really need more of this?
Letter: Does Clover Flats have to close?
I find myself wondering if closing Clover Flat landfill is a mistake. After years of criticism they are slated to close, but a recent investigation by the California Water Quality Control Board found “that further investigation or pursuit of additional enforcement against Clover Flat Landfill” was not warranted, apparently concluding they were currently in compliance.

High-Dimensional Imaging of Vestibular Schwannoma Reveals Distinctive Immunological Networks Across Histomorphic Niches in NF2-related Schwannomatosis
Abstract NF2-related Schwannomatosis (NF2 SWN) is a rare tumour-predisposition syndrome characterised by the growth of multiple central and peripheral nervous system neoplasms. The drivers of NF2 SWN are pathogenic variants in the tumour suppressor gene NF2, encoding the protein Merlin, leading to development of bilateral vestibular schwannoma (VS) in >95% of patients. VS tumours are characterised by infiltration of myeloid cells and lymphocytes, highlighting the potential of immunotherapy for VS.
A data-driven response to economic crime in the UK
Future historians looking to define our era will have little trouble naming the epoch; we are living in the ‘Data Age’. According to numerous sources, 90% of the data created in the world was created in the last two years and it is predicted that the volume of data created will double every two years. The economic benefits of this ‘Data Age’ are well understood.
Evaluation of 4-Aminoquinoline Hydrazone Analogues as Potential Leads for Drug-Resistant Malaria
4.1. Drug Preparation and Synthesis Compounds 1–16 were synthesised using the experimental procedures described previously [23]. The purity of the compounds was checked by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy and LC-MS and were found to be >95% pure prior to biological experiments. NMR spectra were recorded on a Bruker 300 MHz spectrometer. LC-MS was carried out using the Acquity UPLC H-class system.
No Mercy
By Michael Haley, Senior Pastor, Cross Creek Church, Fountain, CO Read Matthew 5:38-42. “No mercy” is a statement you might hear from the Cobra Kai Dojo way back in the original The Karate Kid movie as well as in the new Netflix hit, Cobra Kai. Mercy (withholding deserved punishment) and grace (giving undeserved gifts) are both counter-cultural values, precisely the point Jesus makes in His sermon. Jesus is driving home the fact that mercy is a true mark of a mature Christian.
Bulletin Lookback: Hoops came first for Phillies Rolen
(Editor's note: On August 2, 1993, the Martinsville Bulletin ran a story profiling then Martinsville Phillies third baseman Scott Rolen. With Rolen's induction into the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame this weekend, here is that story.) Being a first-team high school All-American baseball player may be a big deal most anywhere in the country, but not in Scott Rolen's home state of Indiana. Indiana, as is well documented, is basketball territory, and the Hoosiers are rabid over high school hoops.
