What was your first job as a journalist?
My current job, Yellowstone County News, a weekly newspaper in Montana.
How is social media changing news?
Social media, to me, has its pros and cons just like anything. Its "instantaneous" nature is both its greatest strength and biggest pitfall.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
I prefer email for pitching stories.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Some people are going to try and get under your skin... don't let them!
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
In the field getting the real story as it happens, or sleeping!
