What was your first job as a journalist?
Writing about finances and homes for a consumer magazine in Ocala, Florida.
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
Hunter S. Thompson—I consider him fictional, because as with the Gonzo movement he began, he included himself in his stories.
What's your favorite social network?
Twitter—sharing thoughts, ideas, stories and professional work to a network of likeminded people is an incredible thing.
Why did you become a journalist?
The more I dig into someone’s brain and capture their point of view, the further I want to explore what else is there.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Yoga and meditation in nature and Zone Fitness.

The Rolling Stone, Variety, Vanity Fair, Time, Newsweek, The New Yorker, The Guardian.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
I only do interviews with those in the entertainment industry—people are people and can be relevant to almost any topic.
