What was your first job as a journalist?

Interning at the local newspaper (the Centre Daily Times) while in high school.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

Yes. I wish I still did sometimes.

Why did you become a journalist?

To tell stories.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

Everything I wrote for Grantland over the course of its brief existence, particularly my essays on the Penn State scandal.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Don't give up.
