Michael Adams’s Biography

Michael Anthony Adams was born in Detroit and raised in Plymouth, Michigan. At eighteen, he hit the road, eventually ending up in Los Angeles to nurse an unsuccessful acting career. Not wanting to succumb to poverty, he packed his bags and enrolled at Emerson College in Boston where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in print and multimedia journalism. Michael has worked a variety of contemptible jobs while trying to support himself as a writer including: busboy, ice cream server, receptionist, preschool teacher, electronics salesman, auto prep & detail, sales assistant, farmhand, forklift driver, furniture mover, parking attendant, and valet manager. His work has appeared in The Atlantic, Chicago Social, NewCity, and Denver's Westword. He currently lives in Indianapolis where he's the covers art and entertainment for The Indianapolis Start.
