Have you ever used a typewriter?

Nothing like dating myself! I took a typing class in 7th grade. I still miss the sound of the typewriter clicks!

How is social media changing news?

People, especially the younger generation, get the news through social media before any other source. So instant access to what's happening.

Why did you become a journalist?

I wrote my first "novel" at age 7. It was a natural progression from the high school newspaper to studying English in college.

What's your favorite drink?

Can I pick two? Sweet tea and wine!

Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?

Anything with beautiful pictures! I am very visual, so if a publication draws me in through photos and design, I will read just anything.
