At CES 2026, LG has unveiled its 2026 OLED TVs. There is no HDMI 2.2 or Dolby Vision 2, but C6 finally gets an upgraded panel in some sizes, while G6 takes things a step further. Once again in 2026, the South Korean company is reserving its latest and greatest OLED panel for the G6. The 2nd-generation 4-layer OLED panel now features what LG calls 'Hyper Radiant Color Technology'.

Google will roll out Gemini AI to Google TVs from TCL, Hisense, and Sony in mid-2025. FlatpanelsHD got a preview of how Gemini improves voice search and adds new features. Unveiled at CES 2025, Gemini will bring new AI capabilities to Google TVs to compete with Amazon's Alexa on FireTV and Microsoft's Copilot on LG and Samsung Smart TVs later this year. Last year, Google introduced Gemini-based features like movie resumés on Chromecast and Google TV Streamer.
