Michael Gold’s Biography
I just joined the New York Times' social media team, where I work on Twitter and Facebook, among other things. Prior to that, I helped lead social efforts at Washington Post on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. I also helpws find sources on social media and tracked breaking news. Before arriving in D.C., I helped manage The Baltimore Sun’s breaking news, sports and local social media accounts. I also helped launch the Sun’s LGBT news and culture blog a week after Jason Collins came out (talk about your bad timing). Previously, I was a web producer at Philly.com and as a freelance arts writer for the Philadelphia City Paper.
