Michael Phillips

Michael Phillips is an independent journalist, legal reform advocate, and founder of Father & Co., REBUILT, and The Functional Technologist. Through investigative reporting, op-eds, and creative commentary, he exposes systemic injustices in the U.S. family court system, particularly around parental alienation, disability rights, and judicial accountability. His work has appeared in Maryland Bay News, The Family Court Circus, The Republic Dispatch, and across Medium and Substack platforms.

Michael draws from firsthand experience as a self-represented litigant navigating custody battles, disability discrimination, and due process violations—infusing his writing with lived insight and deep research. He also writes satire under the Political Party Animals brand and produces legal tools and coaching resources for other parents and reformers.
