The State of College Football- QBs
College football is an ever-evolving landscape. Large fluctuations in the college talent pool occur year after year. Powerhouses in college football continue to churn out promising prospects. It is vital to identify players at under-the-radar programs, as well. Another art in prospect evaluation is to identify overrated or underrated prospects in college football. This article is by no means a comprehensive or all-encompassing summary of every prospect for each team.
Dynasty Stock Watch, Week 8
The NFL Season is here, but we’ve been in it all year long. As Dynasty players, the season never really ends. But keeping up with the fluctuations week to week can give you an advantage. That’s the point of the stock watch—to process what we see on the field and apply it to players whose value is rising and whose value is taking a hit. Those fluctuations can help guide your management decisions as you shape your Dynasty roster for the long haul. Week 8 of the season is in the books.
2026 NFL Draft Big Board Stock Watch: Mid-Season
Welcome back to this year’s first installment of the NFL Draft Stock Watch —an entire article filled not with my opinion but with analysis of movement among recent big boards in the industry! Paraphrasing NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah, “[I mock draft with my ears and create big boards with my eyes].” The draftniks are getting more involved after seeing how teams are trending in the NFL. I will be focusing on big boards in the industry, NOT the mock drafts.
2025 College Fantasy Regression Candidates: Quarterback
This article is part two of a series focusing on 2025 touchdown regression candidates using data from the previous season. Although it is an inexact science, we are distilling it to touchdowns expected by yardage. The last entry focused on running backs, while this one pivots to the quarterback position.
2025 NFL Mock Draft Stock Watch: Post-Senior/Shrine Bowl
Welcome back to the third part of the NFL Draft Stock Watch, an entire article filled with not my opinion but analyzing movement among recent big boards in the industry! Paraphrasing NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah, “[I mock draft with my ears and create big boards with my eyes].” The top of the mock drafting community mixes a heavy dose of insider news into their mocks because there is an accuracy competition.
Wide Receivers You NEED to Target in 2025 Supplemental Drafts
This is our third entry in the “NEED to Target” series, with quarterback and running back coming in the last few weeks. Supplemental drafts are bound to be underway soon as the NFL Draft Declaration deadline passed on January 15th (for non-championship game participants.) Now that there’s a clearer landscape, we can identify key wide receiver targets. Starting with a banger – East Carolina freshman breakout Yannick Smith.
Five Takeaways from the First 2025 Campus2Canton Mock Draft
The first mock of the season in Campus2Canton leagues is always fascinating because of the unknown. We, as drafters, think it should go a certain way, but in a format where almost no consensus exists, the first draft can truly be all over the place. Campus2Canton startups are 45 rounds and include all FBS-level players in the player pool, including the incoming freshman class.
What to Expect from 2025’s New FBS Teams: Delaware
The Blue Hens are moving on up. Ryan Carty’s group is heading to Conference USA for their first season at the FBS level. He also led Delaware to their first back-to-back nine-win seasons for the first time since 2003-04, a significant accomplishment given how poor the prior regime had done. Offensively, this team should be fascinating. Delaware head coach Ryan Carty runs an uptempo yet aggressive offense.
Off-Season Fantasy Questions, Part Two
We’re into the off-season, but there is still plenty of work to do on our fantasy teams. At this point, it’s about reflecting on the season, checking out rosters, and reading the tea leaves for these NFL Franchises. Over the next few weeks, we’ll look at the biggest fantasy question for each of the 32 NFL teams. Today, we’re starting with the top of the draft order, looking at teams that hold picks 10 to 18.
2025 NFL Mock Draft Stock Watch: Post-Regular Season
Welcome back to the second part of the NFL Draft Stock Watch, an entire article filled with not my opinion but my spelling and grammatical errors; what a treat! Paraphrasing NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah, “[I mock draft with my ears and create big boards with my eyes].” The top of the mock drafting community mixes a heavy dose of insider news into their mocks because there is an accuracy competition.
Sit/Start, Week 8
The 2024 NFL Season is here, and with it comes some lineup questions. Which moves should you make to maximize your points? Let this weekly post be your guide as I offer one start and one sit suggestion at QB, RB, WR, and TE. These suggestions are based on my rankings against consensus each week. Because we want to measure our success, we check back each week for a recap of how we did. For this project, a start is a player I think will finish Top 12 at QB or TE and Top 24 at RB or WR.
Tiering Up the Competition - Week 9 DraftKings Main Slate
Week Nine brings us some new teams to the main slate stage and a great opportunity to utilize what we know to our advantage in DFS. Once again, we’ll jump into Tiering Up the Competition! Here, you’ll find players we want to call out for good/bad reasons at each pricing level, helping you build your very best lineups for DraftKings Main and Night slates! Today, we’ll look at the Saturday Main Slate. Let’s take a look at our options….
2025 NFL Draft Day 2 Hopefuls
We’re entering Week 9 of the season. The top of the class is solidified, maybe? Let’s look at that middle group of players fighting for Day 2 draft capital. I will outline players we’re assuming have legitimate Day 1 potential or already can be “safely” assumed to have Day 2 draft capital. Let a pessimistic think and talk to you about hope. I think the public has overly talked about the QB class, and I will call an audible in the first segment of this article.
Dynasty Stock Watch, Week 6
The NFL Season is here, but we’ve been in it all year long. As Dynasty players, the season never really ends. But keeping up with the fluctuations week-to-week can help you gain an advantage. That’s the point of the stock watch—to process what we see on the field and apply it to players whose value is rising and whose value is taking a hit. Those fluctuations can help guide your management decisions as you shape your Dynasty roster for the long haul.
College Fantasy Football Post-Week 7 Waiver Adds
Man, this season just keeps getting better and better, and we all here get to enjoy college fantasy on top of it! Most teams are now deep into their conference schedules, so no, we’re getting a better idea of what we can consistently expect out of players down the stretch with far less extreme talent mismatches each week. If you’re looking to push for the playoffs in your league, you probably already have an extremely solid squad available to you at this point.
2025 NFL Mock Draft Stock Watch
Bringing back an old series, NFL Draft Stock Watch, an entire article filled with not my opinion but my spelling and grammatical errors, what a treat! Paraphrasing NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah, “[I mock draft with my ears and create big boards with my eyes].” The top of the mock drafting community mixes in a heavy dose of insider news into their mocks because there is an accuracy competition.
Tiering Up the Competition - Week 7 DraftKings Saturday Night Slate
Week 7’s night slate gives us a limited amount of games, but I believe there is injury news that could lead us to great plays. We’ll have to stay on top of the news leading up until the slate begins, but let’s do the best with what we know for now… In Week 5, John Mateer ($10,800) was pretty underwhelming yet still managed 26 fantasy points. He ran the ball 20 times and added 37 attempts through the air against Boise State.
Midshipman Mania
Blake Horvath is the QB for the Navy Midshipmen. Rivals ranked Horvath as a 2-star recruit from Hilliard, OH, with no recruiting rankings on ON3 or 247. He had only one college football offer from the Navy Midshipmen and is currently leading all of college football in QBR through Week 6. I believe Horvath should be in consideration for the 2024 Heisman trophy. Navy is currently in the American Athletic Conference.
The C2C Beat - Week 6
One weekend away and all heck breaks lose in college football. Thankfully, our weekend at the waterpark ended early Saturday night, and I caught the end of the Vanderbilt, Tennessee, and Miami games. The upsets ruled in college football for Week 6, and the NFL followed up with more insane scores and some fantasy studs, plus a few big ‘ol fat duds. I promised to talk more about middling and winning team strategies this week, and you will not be disappointed.
Pulse of the CFF Nation: Week 2
The real football games in Week 1 mostly sucked, but fantasy was absolutely unhinged! We had an RB go for 270 and 6 scores in just over three quarters, and a WR went 10-304-4 and would have had five tuddies had his knee not grazed the turf on the one-yard line. Four games went north of 100 total points. However, the show must go on…to Week 2. Briles Returning To His Baylor Roots? What did we love about the Briles coaching duo during their time at Baylor?
Sit/Start, Week 1
The 2024 NFL Season is here, and with it comes some lineup questions. Which moves should you make to maximize your points? Let this weekly post be your guide as I offer one start and one sit suggestion at QB, RB, WR, and TE. These suggestions are based on my rankings against consensus each week. Week 1 College Football Takeaways
Week 1 is finally in the books, so we finally have some new info to argue about! Although the first week of college football can be difficult to evaluate, my job each week is to comb through the information and pull out the info that will help you win your leagues. You’ll see some categories pop up each week (target leaders, freshman snaps) and some that will be more pertinent to that specific week of action.
27 Devy OVERREACTIONS for Week 1: Is Donovan Edward still overrated?
CFB Week 1 is behind us; you know what that means……OVERREACTIONS. We’re going through this in a note-style, but before we get started, a few things: take everything with a grain of salt. I personally think it takes the first four weeks to develop realistic expectations of a player, and P5 teams are expected to dominate FCS opponents.
A Look at the Week 1 landscape and strategy for C2C Leagues!
I have wanted to write a weekly column for Campus2Canton leagues for years. Combine information from college and the NFL, giving a little insight on each, and talk about strategy for the format. Procrastination festered, and excuses abounded, but this season – it’s finally coming to fruition. Week 1 of college football is in the books, and Week 1 of the NFL is on the precipice.
Dynasty Deep Dives: Final Roster Guys
The 2024 season is upon us. Are you ready? Hopefully, you’re in for a winning campaign. But those of us who play Dynasty know it’s a 365-day-a-year endeavor. So, this is the time to make pickups and stashes that could pay off this season. Below are some players who were strong this pre-season and could make an impact during a long fantasy season. All roster percentages are courtesy of the NFL. Roster Percentage: 2.8 About: Some may have given up on Fields.
Arizona: WR Jeremiah Patterson Earns Starting Slot Role
The hype around transfer receiver Jeremiah Patterson hit a crescendo in fall camp, culminating in a starting position for the Wildcats with the recently released depth chart. Patterson, who joins the team from the College of San Mateo, looks to fill in for Jacob Cowing following his departure to the NFL. This is a highly productive passing offense looking for another receiver to emerge behind superstar Tet McMillan.
Iowa: Kamari Moulton Listed as RB1
An exciting development out of Iowa: redshirt freshman Kamari Moulton is listed atop the depth chart. Moulton, who played in four games last season, had a strong camp. He beats out both Leshon Williams and Kaleb Johnson, two players with significant experience. Moulton is likely the lead in a committee, given how Iowa has approached the position in recent years. However, with Tim Lester joining as offensive coordinator, there’s hope this offense improves.
Week 1 Recruiting Update
High school football kicked off its first week all around the country. The 2025 incoming freshman class is more important than ever for C2C leagues. Every week, we will update you on how players in the 2025 class are doing and whether they are moving up or down or grading boards. Throughout the season, we will post what stats and information we can find on the current top 10 at each position. Bryce will play his first game on Friday, 8/30, against Clarkston, MI.
Missouri Running Backs: Nate Noel Will ‘Go Out There First’
Missouri head coach Eli Drinkwitz gave a big clue as to how he wants to use his two transfer running backs, Nate Noel and Marcus Carroll. In a press conference on Sunday Drinkwitz said the Noel will “go out there first.” The Missouri running back is a highly coveted fantasy asset, and if one of the two emerges, it could be fantasy gold. Nate Noel, a transfer from Appalachian State, has the most experience, but both backs are entering the SEC from the Sun Belt.
Deuce Knight Lights Up Final Preseason Game
Deuce Knight, the five-star quarterback Notre Dame commit, has played in his final preseason game. He led touchdown drives on each of his first three drives including a 60-yard touchdown pass to WR Brenn Moddy, as reported by WLOX’s (Mississippi) Matt DeGregorio. Knight is currently a top five ranked quarterback by all four recruiting services. He displays top-end athleticism and a strong arm.
Pulse of the CFF Nation: Week Zero
We made it, folks. College Football is finally here. In the words of my four-year-old daughter, who recently came across the new Paw Patrol movie on DVR: “Rock and roll, BABY!” I couldn’t agree more, Liv. For those new to The Pulse, here is how it works. It is basically a dive into Nate Marchese’s degenerate mind. A weekly CFF journal entry of sorts where I word vomit on five random topics that we all hope and pray are relevant and actionable to the College Fantasy Football world.
2025 Draft Watchlist: Running Backs
Welcome back to the next installment of the Draft Watchlist series. For my sanity, I will not be going nearly as deep as the WR article. This should be a more inspiring group than last year. I’m going to break down my top ten and provide some metrics. I know there are more accurate metrics for Running backs, but this article is not based on analytics, and I want to provide some statistical context. Size/age – Size matters for RBs and often helps dictate their role in an offense.
Introducing the QB Star Index - a New Way to Evaluate Quarterbacks
About one year ago, C2C’s very own Chris Moxley published the “Year 1 Zero” theory (Y1Z), one of the strongest edges in wide receiver prospect analysis. Those who follow the theory often know when to divest in a specific receiver sooner than their competition. While Y1Z requires tracking a player through their first year in college, a new metric for quarterbacks will help identify players to circle and those to avoid, even before they step on campus.
Dynasty Stock Watch: Pre-Season Stock Up
We’re rapidly moving toward the start of the 2024 NFL Season. We’ve seen two-thirds of the pre-season frame, and we’re less than ten days from final roster cuts. During the last month, players’ value has fluctuated. In the next two installments, I’ll be looking at the stock of players that has risen and fallen during Training Camp and the pre-season. Today, it’s two players per position whose stock has risen.
Washington State Names Quarterback John Mateer Starter
Washington State head coach Jake Dickert has named redshirt sophomore John Mateer as the team’s starting quarterback ahead of the Cougars’ August 31 debut against Portland State, as reported by The Spokesman-Review’s Greg Woods. Mateer wins the job over Bryant University transfer Zevi Eckhaus. Mateer is the quarterback 80 in Campus2Canton’s C2C rankings and number 39 in the CFF rankings.
2024 Freshman Camp Standouts
Freshmen are the “rookies” of the C2C landscape. Freshmen represent untapped value, upside optimism, and maximum years of production. There is never a more valuable time to acquire a future star than before he takes a collegiate snap. Early camp buzz is a great time to capitalize on freshmen turning heads and getting called out by name. If an 18-year-old is doing enough to get mentioned by beat writers, they likely have “it” and a bright future.
Michigan Quarterback Davis Warren “Best Passer” In Camp
Both traditional college football fans and the college fantasy community are watching the Michigan quarterback battle closely. That battle is down to third year player and athletic specimen Alex Orji, class of 2020 senior Davis Warren, and class of 2018 graduate transfer Jack Tuttle (Utah, Indiana). Thus far in camp, “one quarterback has not yet separated themsel[ves] from the rest of the group,” according to reporting from On3’s Kaiden Smith and The Wolverine’s Clayton Sayfie.
Matchups to Target in Week 13 of Your Underdog Fantasy Drafts
I’ve covered Weeks 12 and 14, but what about the best game stacks of Week 13? Well, I finally got around to this magical week of college football and think there are plenty of players and games I want to keep in the back of my mind when drafting on Underdog Fantasy. We have targeted a lot of Big 12 and ACC matchups in the playoffs, but I think the SEC and Big Ten have a few games that’ll surely be exciting for us from a fantasy perspective.
The New JMU Dukes Have a Potential League-Winning Pig
He named you. You must be special. – K, Blade Runner 2049 (2017) Ever since the previous regime announced its move to Indiana, questions have been abound regarding the shape of the new JMU offense in 2024. New head coach Bob Chesney takes over as the program’s chief and commander after coaching for six seasons at the FCS program Holy Cross (HC). He also brings with him his OC (more on this later).
Georgia’s Frazier Headed for Contributing Role in Year 1?
On Wednesday’s edition of Dawg Nation Daily, host Brandon Adams speculated that true freshman running back Nate Frazier would be headed for a contributing role for the Bulldogs in Frazier’s first season.
2025 Draft Watchlist: Wide Receivers
During this preview, I will analyze metrics, production profiles, and film. I will go into the top 15 and do a lightning round with a bit of a fun twist at the end. I will be throwing in some background info: Size – As listed on a school website, even though they are known liars.
Dynasty Stock Watch: Post-Season Winners
The NFL’s post-season is coming in for a landing. The Super Bowl is Sunday, and the season will officially be over. This week, I’m looking at those who helped themselves and hurt themselves throughout the NFL post-season. Today, we’re looking at winners. About: The Packers were a surprise entry to the playoffs and a surprise winner during Wild Card Weekend, hanging 48 points on the Dallas Cowboys.
Only Marvin Harrison Jr. Did What This True Freshman Did in 2023
Popeye the Sailor probably said it best: “I am what I am.” I’m not exceptional. I’m just… apart. – Michael Fassbender, The Killer (2023) If there is a statistic where a player’s only company is Marvin Harrison Jr. he must have done something right. That is the case with today’s player, Jaylen Lloyd, a true freshman wide receiver at Nebraska Football.
2024 NFL Draft Big Board: Wide Receiver
Welcome back to the wide receiver Big Board. I have removed the guys who returned to school and updated a few profiles. I will start with my top 15, and then it trails into tiers.
2024 CFF Pre-Spring Stock Report: STOCK UP
Who’s stock is on the rise as we enter spring 2024? College football is more volatile than ever with player and coach movement. Here are some guys who have seen their value rise for a variety of reasons, including transfers, coaching changes, NFL declarations, etc. A “Chandler” swap is taking place in Denton. Chandler Rogers transfers again, this time to Cal, and Chandler Morris makes the 40-minute drive to take his spot.
A VolumePig Assessment of Fran Brown’s Syracuse Headed Into Y1
It’s a rough patch in my life right now, alright? Syracuse is 0 and 3. – Adam Sandler, Big Daddy (1999) There’s a new sheriff in town in upstate NY, and he’s definitely brought some Louis with him. Whenever there’s wide-sweeping staff turnover, there tends to be a lot of intrigue around the program that follows. What’s the offense going to look like next season? Will there be pigs? I’m here today to take a preliminary look at the program.
Dynasty Stock Watch: Class of ’21 Tight Ends
The 2023 Season is in the books. While there’s still some playoff football to help us see how players do in the clutch, for dynasty players, it’s a time to sit back, take stock, and see how players fared. Over the next couple of months, I’ll be looking back at the 2023, 2022, and 2021 classes by position. I’ll be evaluating if their stock rose, remained the same, or dropped during the course of the season. Now could be the time to sell high, buy low, or hold on to a winning hand.

Get Yourself Familiar With Gevani McCoy
(Ralph) This is dark chocolate. It comes all the way from Switzerland, Europe. That’s near France, see. They call it ‘bittersweet.’ Melts in your mouth. You tried it? (Ralph)No. How do you know it melts in your mouth? – Boss Spearman, Open Range (2003) It is officially sicko sleeper season— no, not for the NFL draft, but rather, for the upcoming College Fantasy Football season.
