Interview
What was your first job as a journalist?
I was an intern at the now-defunct WWBD-FM outside Philadelphia. Great experience learning how a newsroom functioned.
What's the funniest news-related #hashtag you've seen?
My name, honestly.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
I can deftly use a fork and a knife. On top of that, I use Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing and Audacity for audio.
What's your favorite social network?
Twitter. It's also my least favorite.
Why did you become a journalist?
Champagne and fast cars. And to do good.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
I don't like to speak ill of others.
What's your favorite drink?
Coke Zero. A half-liter a day is required to stay functional.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
In bed, trying to recover the brain cells lost from staring at a screen all day.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
The most common misconception about my beat is that I only have one beat.
