Mike Roe’s Biography

I’m an entertainment journalist and editor with more than 17 years of experience covering television, film, comedy, late-night, pro wrestling, and the business of Hollywood. I recently served as Senior News Editor at LateNighter and News Editor at TheWrap, leading fast-turn breaking news and shaping coverage across awards, industry shifts, and culture. Before that, I spent a decade with NPR station LAist/KPCC reporting on the arts and entertainment landscape in Los Angeles.

I’m the author of The 30 Rock Book (Abrams), an oral history of the Emmy-winning series.

Outside journalism, I write TV dramas with my wife/writing partner, exploring stories about crime, faith, power, and communities under pressure. I’m currently open to editorial, writing, and content roles aligned with entertainment and culture.
