Diverging diagnostic trajectories of degenerative cervical myelopathy and cervical radiculopathy in South Korea: a nationwide time-series analysis of claims data, 2010–2024
Abstract Background: Degenerative cervical myelopathy (DCM) is the leading non-traumatic cause of spinal cord dysfunction in adults, and its burden is projected to grow as populations age. Cervical radiculopathy shares the same degenerative substrate but follows a separate diagnostic pathway. Long-term national trends in the two conditions, and their relation to surgical practice, are unquantified in an East Asian system with universal coverage.

Intermolecular lithium bonding between different components upon mixing simultaneously enhances the thermal and electrical properties of an amorphous organic semiconductor material
Intermolecular lithium bonding between different components upon mixing simultaneously enhances the thermal and electrical properties of an amorphous organic semiconductor material Amorphous organic materials have various advantages including lightness, flexibility, and low-cost production, and their industrial value has been widely verified. Nevertheless, unstable thermal properties and relatively poor electrical performance compared to inorganic counterparts result in numerous challenges.
Quantitative real-time PCR analysis of four genetically modified soybean events using plasmid and genomic DNA calibrators - Food Science and Biotechnology
Abstract A calibration curve is required for reliable and accurate quantitative real-time PCR analysis of genetically modified (GM) organisms, necessitating the use of reference materials as calibrators. In this study, two types of DNA calibrators—plasmid DNA (pDNA) and genomic DNA (gDNA)—were used to quantify four GM soybean events (SYHT0H2, MON87751, DAS-44406-6, and DAS-81419-2). The PCR efficiency and linearity for the calibrators adhered to the CODEX guidelines.
Enhancement of Machinability Study in Longitudinal Ultrasonic Vibration-assisted Milling Inconel 718 Using High-frequency-vibration Spindle - The International Journal of Advanced Manufacturing Technology
Abstract Longitudinal ultrasonic vibration-assisted machining (LUVAM) is a machining technique that offers several benefits such as low cutting force, good surface quality, and prolonged tool life. A new set of LUVAM spindle with high-frequency vibrations was designed to enhance the efficiency of LUVAM and the critical cutting speed of "tool-workpiece separation." The spindle's stepped axial vibration transducer is designed analytically, and its amplitude is amplified.
