A Chopped Competition
Hello kiddos, This is Professor Mordy Maven, Thinker, Wonderer, and Figure-Outer of all things Science-ish. Which basically means that I try really hard to figure stuff out. I do the hard work so you don’t have to! On Sunday, my sister decided to organize a Chopped competition. I was really excited because I love chopping things! Then she explained that it was actually a cooking competition to see who could make the best-tasting meal. Sigh.
Gitty and Chana Leah
Hi, my name is Gitty. I’m 16 years old. My older sister Chana Leah and I are really close, and I think the reason is because we’re the only two girls among five brothers. We had to band together out of sheer self-defense! (I’m just kidding, but yes, having five brothers can be quite intense, especially when they get their hands on Nerf guns.) Last year, Chana Leah went away to seminary in Eretz Yisrael and it was, hands down, the hardest year of my life.
Raizel and Shira
Hi, my name is Raizel. I’m 16 years old and I attend a small school comprised of girls from our small, close-knit community. We all know each other and each others’ families. We all live in the same neighborhood, shop at the same grocery stores, and eat at the same restaurants. Shabbos is always full of visits, from morning until dusk. The door of our house is like an ever-revolving door, with people constantly coming in and out.
Rochel and Tova - Mishpacha
Hi, I’m Rochel. I don’t usually do this sort of thing but I’m desperate for some advice. I’ll state it plainly and, hopefully, without gaavah: I’m extremely popular. I have an endless number of friends who are constantly vying for my attention and approval. It can get a bit wearisome at times. I’d like to think I divide my attention evenly between all my friends, and I try awfully hard not to be the cause of hurt feelings, but it’s not always easy. Overall, I don’t mind being the popular girl.
The Doughnut Trap
If we let ourselves become depleted, we’re at risk for indulging in what we crave A dvancement is the name of the game. We’re always looking for the next best thing and, when it comes to doughnuts, it seems we’ve found it! Forget those little sugar-dusted sufganiyot. Now we’re into the triple-layered-salted-caramel-whipped-soufflé-nut — and we’re lovin’ it! More is better, right? Often, yes.
The Real Me - Mishpacha
My name is Esther. I’m 12 years old and I live in Edgware, London, England. I have something called autism. Hi beautiful diary. I am so lucky that I randomly found you. My name is Esther. I’m 12 years old and I live in Edgware London England. My name has several meanings. Esther is also Hadassah which means myrtle. It makes sense considering my favorite colors are green and blue. It also means hidden. I have something called autism.
