How left-behind experience moderates the impact of impulsivity on non-suicidal self-injury among Chinese senior high school students: the mediating role of self-control
Abstract Background: Prior research has identified a range of risk factors for and functions of non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI), of which two broad classes are most prominent: adverse early experiences and individual susceptibility. Much less is known, however, about how these two classes of factors operate together within an integrated mechanism.
A study on the coupling of Rural-Land Use transformation and development in the karst mountains of southwest China: the case of Guizhou province
Abstract Revealing the coupling coordination mechanism between rural transformation and land-use transformation in ecologically fragile regions is of theoretical and practical significance for addressing the paradox between ecological conservation and rural development, and for promoting sustainable development in karst mountainous areas. Drawing on social-ecological systems theory, this study develops an analytical framework for coupling Rural-Land Use transformation.
Implicit leadership and multidimensional imitation: a structural pathway model among Chinese university students
Abstract Introduction: This study examines the association between implicit leadership perception (ILP) and social learning and imitation processes among university students in group-based educational contexts.
Uncovering the determinants of infant and toddler childcare demand in less-developed rural China: a machine learning perspective
Abstract Introduction: China faces a severe imbalance between the supply and demand of formal childcare services for infants and toddlers aged 0–3, with rural research and resource allocation falling far behind urban areas. Objective: This study aimed to identify key determinants of rural childcare demand in western China’s less-developed regions and to screen the optimal predictive machine learning (ML) prediction model, based on Andersen’s Behavioral Model.
Shifting resource dominance in career decision-making difficulties: a competitive mediation model of resilience and general self-efficacy among Chinese university students
Abstract In contemporary labor markets characterized by heightened uncertainty and structural constraints, career decision-making difficulties (CDD) have become a salient psychological challenge for university students.

Psychological mechanisms underlying employability among Chinese university students: a sequential mediation model and gender invariance analysis
Abstract Background: Addressing intensified labor market competition, this study validates the multidimensional structure of future employability and examines its underlying sequential capital conversion process-a critical objective for higher education-within a non-Western cultural context.
Emotional regulation and mental health profiles among Chinese junior middle school students: evidence for the dual-factor model
1 Introduction Adolescent mental health plays a crucial role in their overall development, influencing academic achievement, social integration, and long-term psychological resilience. Mentally healthy adolescents demonstrate better academic performance, prosocial behaviors (Suldo and Shaffer, 2008; Antaramian et al., 2010).
