The general public are now able to report on news a lot faster than media outlets, so journalist need to be one step ahead.

What does it mean to be a journalist?
A reporter of news, events, stories, features, interviews - someone in tune with what the public are interested in, someone aware of trends.

Any hashtag to do with Luigi Mangione.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Through email.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
MacBook, phone, headphones, notebook, pen.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
My secondary school did not have a newspaper.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
The general public can get news out faster that media outlets these days, so the pressure is on journalists to always stay alert for leads.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Be curious, work hard and always say yes.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Anytime, 7 days a week.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
It was press release about Technology One acquiring a new customer, which happened to be a local authority.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
It was something about attitudes towards investing - it didn't have an angle that be used for a local government/LGPS audience.
What's your favorite drink?
Strawberry Monster Energy Drink.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
At an open mic.
