What was your first job as a journalist?
Writing book reviews for The Guardian's Children's Book Club
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes! I had one when I was 11. I actually want to invest in one now!
How is social media changing news?
The news is social media, social media is the news.
Who do you wish followed you?
Edward Enninful. He did reply to a handwritten letter of mine in 2019, which was a career highlight for sure.
Why did you become a journalist?
Writing brings me so much joy, so if I can write and bring others joy too, then it's a win-win
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I created a Newspaper in my Primary School when I was 9, called the Daily Moon. I was the executive editor for my college's yearly magazine.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Write, write, write!
When's the best time to pitch you?
I'm always on my phone or near my laptop, so pitch me whenever!
What's your favorite drink?
Coffee (but you can't beat a good Gin)
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Sitting in a coffee shop sipping a latte or walking along the Thames
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
I enjoy reading Cosmopolitan – it aligns with my ethos the most.
