Rhenzel Raymond Caling

I am a reporter at VERA Files, an independent nonprofit media in the Philippines that focuses on fact-checking and in-depth reporting. I work in a team that debunks mis- and disinformation on Facebook as part of Meta's third party fact-checking program.

I graduated with a journalism degree at the University of the Philippines where he also took courses in history, political science and economics. I was previously news editor of college publication Tinig ng Plaridel and a member of FactRakers, a fact-checking initiative of the university.

Outside of work, I love listening to Taylor Swift and K-pop groups Seventeen and Enhypen.
