Using optimization algorithms to configure EA parameters on the fly
Contents 1. Introduction 2. Architecture of an EA with self-optimization 3. Virtualization of indicators 4. Virtualization of strategy 5. Testing functionality 1. Introduction I often get asked questions about how to apply optimization algorithms when working with EAs and strategies in general. In this article I would like to look at the practical aspects of using optimization algorithms.
An example of using the AO Core library for self-optimization
AO Core To ensure self-optimization of the advisor for implementing any required capabilities and functionalities, the scheme presented in Figure 1 is employed. On the "History" timeline, the advisor is positioned at the "time now" point where the optimization decision is made. The "EA" advisor invokes the "Manager function" which manages the optimization process, with the advisor passing optimization settings, "optimization parameters" to this function.
Developing a Replay System - Market simulation (Part 17): Ticks and more ticks (I)
Further Note The CustomTicksAdd function only works for custom symbols opened in the Market Watch window. If the symbol is not selected in Market Watch, then you should add ticks using CustomTicksReplace. The CustomTicksAdd function allows feeding quotes as if these quotes were received from a broker's server. Data is sent to the Market Watch window instead of being directly written to the tick database. Then, the terminal saves ticks from the Market Watch to the database.

This makes movements precise and easy to create since we don't have to worry about collecting information.

We also implemented a very interesting system from the point of view of the indicator interaction with the service. In this article I will emphasize the importance of maintaining traded ticks.

Although we have succeeded in achieving this goal, there are still some aspects that need to be addressed.
