Recent advancements and challenges in catalytic purification of volatile organic compounds
Recent advancements and challenges in catalytic purification of volatile organic compounds With the development of industrialization, the emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are steadily increasing, posing a significant impact on atmospheric quality and public health. Catalytic oxidation can be a promising technology for VOC purification owing to its high efficiency and energy-saving advantages.
Revealing the unexpected promotion effect of diverse potassium-precursors on α-MnO2 for toluene catalytic destruction
Revealing the unexpected promotion effect of diverse potassium-precursors on α-MnO2 for toluene catalytic destruction Alkali metal potassium has function of structure promoter and electronic modulation for metal oxides. Herein, diverse potassium precursors (KOH, KNO3, K2SO4 and KCl) were introduced to nanorods α-MnO2 through a facile post processing strategy. The presence of potassium species has a remarkable promotion effect on catalytic performance of α-MnO2.
Rare-earth element doping promoted toluene low-temperature combustion over mesostructured CuMCeOx (M = Y, Eu, Ho, and Sm) catalysts: The indispensable role of in-situ generated oxygen vacancy
Novel CuMCeOx (M = Y, Eu, Ho, and Sm) trimetal oxide catalysts with developed mesoporosity and enhanced oxygen migration capability were fabricated by a reproducible self-precipitation approach for the first time. The incorporation of rare-earth element (especially Y, Eu, and Ho) can enhance the reducibility and surface adsorbed oxygen mobility of CuCeOx catalyst, leading to a remarkable promotion of catalytic activity in the oxidation of toluene.
Catalytic removal of 1,2-dichloroethane over LaSrMnCoO6/H-ZSM-5 composite: Insights into synergistic effect and pollutant destruction mechanism
LaxSr2-xMnCoO6 materials with different Sr contents were prepared by a coprecipitation method and LaSrMnCoO6 was found to be the best catalyst for 1,2-DCE destruction (T90 = 509 °C). As such, a series of LaSrMnCoO6/H-ZSM-5 composite materials were rationally synthesized to further improve the catalytic activity of LaSrMnCoO6.
Tuning micromorphology and exposed facets of MnOx promotes methyl ethyl ketone low-temperature abatement: Boosting oxygen activation and electron transmission
MnOx oxides with different morphologies (nanowire (MnOx-W), nanocube (MnOx-C), nanorod (MnOx-R), and nanosphere (MnOx-S)) and exposed facets were synthesized via a solvothermal method. The catalytic performance of synthesized MnOx materials for methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) destruction was investigated.
