Mukta Joshi’s Biography
I graduated with a B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) degree from National Law School of India University, Bangalore in 2019. After a year as a junior corporate lawyer for a commercial firm, I am working with Land Conflict Watch - a data research project studying and compiling reported natural resource conflicts across India. I lead the legal research associated with these conflicts, along with analysing and writing about issues of forest and environmental governance. My professional goal is to make the law - especially the law related to civil liberties and social justice - more accessible, and plan to eventually transition into journalism.
