To the Editor, Han et al. report a clear platelet-count response to recombinant human thrombopoietin (rhTPO) in patients with chronic liver disease undergoing elective invasive procedures [1]. I do not question the direction of the efficacy result. However, two reporting issues make the transfusion and safety findings difficult to interpret.
