What was your first job as a journalist?
I have never had a "job" as a journalist. I have run my own writing website as a hobby since April 2020. I am a legal research specialist.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
I have never used a typewriter to write something.
How is social media changing news?
It makes the reporters, and their streams of consciousness, more visible. Whether that is good or bad is a matter of perspective.
What's the funniest news-related #hashtag you've seen?
I'm not familiar with the popular news-related hashtags. But hashtags can be funny if you're in on the joke.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
WordPress, KDE's Ghostwriter, Pandoc, and Libre Office Writer.
What's your favorite social network?
I prefer following sites in my feed reader.
Who do you wish followed you?
I hope that whoever enjoys my writing considers following my projects via RSS/ATOM/JSON feed.
Why did you become a journalist?
I was interested in starting a small writing website to work on a digital home for my work on the web.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I was the student editor of my high school newspaper in 12th grade (https://thenewleafjournal.com/b/6Lo).
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

What's your favorite drink?
Coffee with milk and sugar. No fruity coffees, however.

Walking in Brooklyn.
