In the customary narratives associated with the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, the recently passed tax law enacted last December, proponents and critics have discussed the law in terms of winners and losers: the 1-percent versus the 99-percent, Wall Street versus Main Street, and corporations versus individuals.
