What was your first job as a journalist?

Working for the North Wales Media in Mold covering sports across Cheshire including non-league football team Chester FC

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

I have standard MS office tools for writing and presentations as well as video/audio editing software for podcasting

Why did you become a journalist?

Because I am a sports nut but I didn't see any other disabled reporters so I wanted to inspire change in the industry.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

A multi-platform (TV and online) feature with Paralympic archery's John Stubbs in 2016 discussing disability and mental health.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Treat sports stars or celebrities like any other person and you'll get much better interviews

When's the best time to pitch you?

12-18 months before any major event

What's the best pitch you ever got?

First tennis grand slam at the French Open in 2018 - totally unexpected!

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

the gym

What's the most common misperception about your beat?

That there are no limits on expenses for any of my trips by the company I'm working for.
