Volumetric and Acoustic Properties of Binary and Ternary Mixtures of Butanol Isomers with Gasoline Surrogate Compounds
Substituting butanol, a renewable fuel for internal combustion engine, as the gasoline blend against the conventionally used ethanol requires the knowledge of their thermophysical properties as these properties decide the fuel injection system, flame propagation, and combustion process in a compression ignition engine. Butanols offer higher energy density and lower tendency to absorb moisture.
Thermophysical, Acoustic, and Refractive Properties of Pure and Binary Mixtures Composed of Imidazolium-Based Ionic Liquids and PEG 600
The thermophysical properties of ionic liquids (ILs) can be judiciously modulated by adding suitable co-solvents to make them an economical alternative for various industrial processes. In our search for the better thermophysical properties of these neoteric solvents, herein, we had investigated the thermophysical, acoustic, and refractive properties of imidazolium-based ILs with the bromide counter ion and alkyl chain from butyl to octyl when they are mixed with PEG-600.
Investigation of Temperature, Composition, and Alkyl Chain-Dependent Molecular Interactions between Imidazolium-Based Ionic Liquids and Aniline: A Study of Experimental and Theoretical Thermophysical Properties
The versatile features of pure ionic liquids (ILs) can be considerably fine-tuned through mixing with suitable cosolvents, thereby expanding their role as potential green solvents to replace the traditional volatile organic solvents in several industrial processes.
Temperature, Composition, and Alkyl Chain-Dependent Molecular Interactions between Imidazolium-Based Ionic Liquids with N-Methylaniline and N-Ethylaniline: Experimental and Theoretical Study
Ionic liquids (ILs), an alternative to conventional molecular organic solvents, have attracted the attention of the scientific community because of their tunable unique physicochemical properties. Among the tested strategies, addition of co-solvents is the most convenient choice to alter the physicochemical properties of ILs for their industrial applications.

Potential of a Novel Surfactant Slug in Recovering Additional Oil from Highly Saline Calcite Cores during the EOR Process: Synergistic Blend of Surface Active Ionic Liquid and Nonionic Surfactant
Abstract In the present study, a chemical formulation containing a surface-active ionic liquid (SAIL; tributylhexadecylphosphonium bromide) and a nonionic surfactant (TERGITOL 15-S-9) has been prepared. The composition of the mixed micelle and the interaction parameter between the SAIL and nonionic surfactant at varying concentrations were evaluated by Rubingh theory.
