Dr. Naz
From now on, call me Dr. Nazr T. Mohammed, Ph.D. I know what y’all are thinking: When in the hell did Naz have a chance to go back to school and get his Ph.D? Well … I didn’t. But I am actually about to get a B.A. in liberal arts from Kentucky. I’ve been in school the last year finishing what I started at UK back in the fall of 1995. I only needed 18 more credit-hours to graduate.

I’m Back (Again)
Hold up, maybe you’re thinking, Huh? Where’d he go? In 2016 I made a brief comeback with the Thunder. Not long after, I hung up my sneakers. It was a great run — 18 years in the NBA. I’m really proud of what I accomplished, and of the relationships I’d made during my playing career. But part of me knew I wasn’t done. Someone asked me a while back, “What’s the worst part about being retired?” I didn’t have an answer at the time. Now I do.
The Five Toughest Players I've Ever Defended | By John Starks
People love to rank NBA eras, so let me be clear — my generation was the best. The way we played the game was incredible. Even if you were watching the game on TV, you could feel the passion on the court. People on the street come up to me all the time and say, “John, we miss that game. We miss the physicality! Players were getting after it every night. Pro basketball used to be a contact sport. But things change, and the game has evolved.

Religion or Politics: Pick One!!!
This is a blog on a topic I never thought I would write about: Religion and Politics. My name is Nazr Tahiru Mohammed. I am a 1st generation AMERICAN born in Chicago to 2 Muslim Ghanaian immigrants. That means I am an African (no Hyphen) American (born in Chicago) Muslim (practicing Islam with no affiliation with the Nation of Islam but I do consider them brothers and sisters) Black Man (English is the only language I speak).
‘No Blood, No Foul’: An NBA Finals Game 7 Preview
In 2005, when I was with the Spurs, we played against the Pistons in the Finals. I was surrounded by guys who had been there before — Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Bruce Bowen, Robert Horry, to name a few — but this was my first time on the big stage ‌ and I was a mess. I had so many mixed emotions going into that series. Of course you’re excited to be there, but that’s also balanced out by a fear of losing out on the opportunity of a lifetime.
The 6 Toughest Players I’ve Ever Guarded
When you play in the NBA, every night you’re facing a guy who’s one of the best in the world at something, whether it’s scoring, defending, passing or just bothering the hell out of you. When it comes to defending, your options are to either double team or force them into their weakness — play the percentages. I believed in studying the scouting report and watching film so I knew what my opponent’s weaknesses were before every game.
