What was your first job as a journalist?
I wrote a review for The Town at my university paper.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes. A great old time and in no way annoying when it gets jammed every second word.
How is social media changing news?
A social media post will always be first, but most of the time it won't always be accurate.
Who's your favorite fictional journalist?
Peter Parker. Guy spends all day taking pictures of himself and gets paid for it and his research is always first hand.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
Having the duty to inform, educate and only be biased when you've got the evidence to back it up.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Haven't had one.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Google Docs, Photoshop and in Grammarly in the past.

Threads.

All the writers I respect. That'd be nice.
Why did you become a journalist?
Because I loved typing to no one and then one day someone actually read it.

Keep going. All feedback is good feedback. Fandom is always going to be angry at you, all a journalist can do is smile back.

The cinema, walking to the cinema, in the pub talking about when I'm going to the cinema next.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?
It's just a day of watching films and TV shows. There's a lot of writing in between.
