What was your first job as a journalist?
My first job in the industry was as a content creator and reporter for trade publication Inside Franchise Business.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
For me, being a journalist is a huge responsibility. While story-telling is what we do, great journalism comes from the ability to listen.

Via email.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
The full Adobe suite for image/video editing, Wordpress, MailChimp and various scheduling tools.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
My piece with Alyssa Azar, the youngest person to climb Mt Everest. It was a great honour to tell her inspiring story.
When's the best time to pitch you?
In the mornings after 10am, my inbox is constantly monitored.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
I recently got pitched a story by a marketing business that was accompanied by a mug with my face printed on it. Not a bad effort.
What's your favorite drink?
Hard to go past a good cup of coffee.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
In the kitchen, at the gym or working on my atrocious jump shot.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
That men are only concerned with cars and whisky. Nowadays, guys are interested in sustainability, financial literacy and a stronger future.
