Abstract Arthritogenic alphaviruses, including chikungunya virus (CHIKV), Mayaro virus and Ross River virus, cause long-lasting musculoskeletal pain and inflammation. However, the mechanisms driving chronic disease remain unclear. Here, we used single-cell RNA sequencing, spatial transcriptomics and flow cytometry to investigate joint-associated tissues in alphavirus-infected mice at a late stage of infection.

The End Of The Road For USD LIBOR?
The USD LIBOR panel ceases later this month, on 30 June 2023, marking a major milestone in the transition away from LIBOR to robust Risk-Free Reference Rates. However, this is not quite the end of the road for USD LIBOR. Publication of the 1-, 3- and 6-month USD LIBOR settings will continue under an unrepresentative "synthetic" methodology until end-September 2024 published by LIBOR's administrator, ICE Benchmark Administration Limited, following an announcement earlier this year by the FCA.

To build success, think back to 9th grade
My parents were pretty strict with me and I owe much of my success today to the simple things that my parents taught me when I was you, and before I went to college. Do what you say. Don’t do anything half-assed. Look at someone in the eyes when they talk to you. Show up on time. Treat others as you want to be treated. AND be home before 11. This stuff is not hard, but I tell you what, no one does this. No one does it consistently anyway.

Pathogenic chikungunya virus evades B cell responses to establish persistence
Chikungunya virus (CHIKV) causes large outbreaks of acute and chronic musculoskeletal disease. To investigate mechanisms of CHIKV clearance and persistence, we performed studies in mice with an attenuated CHIKV strain (181/25) and its pathogenic parent strain (AF15561). Whereas AF15561 infection of WT mice resulted in viral persistence in joint-associated tissue, 181/25 was cleared within 4 weeks.
