Have you ever used a typewriter?

Yes. To type the first sort story I ever sold.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

We had no high school paper

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

Two, both with statistics about bias. One for my own blog, on literary prize data, one for the NYT on disability representation in fiction.

What's your favorite drink?

Guinness. Irish breakfast tea. Barbaresco, Barolo, and Margaux.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Outside on the deck with a book and a cup of tea, listening to the birds.
