Canberra Liberals announce further support and services for seniors — Elizabeth Lee MLA
Shadow Minister for Seniors Nicole Lawder has today announced at the Seniors Expo a number of measures to support older Canberrans in the ACT. Ms Lawder said approximately one in six of the ACT’s population is now 65 and over with projections anticipating this number will continue to grow. “We have heard from a number of older Canberrans who have expressed to us that they require a range of different services and support,” Ms Lawder said.

A Canberra Liberals government will increase access to services which support veterans and their families in the ACT that includes a specific veterans community facility. Leader Elizabeth Lee said the Canberra Liberals will also deliver a northside memorial, a veterans expo, a grants program, and the establishment of a veteran community co-ordinator and wellbeing network online portal.

Some people simply believe it’s doomed, but that’s not the case. There are things we can do to improve the water quality; measures are already in place to try to achieve this very goal. WIN Corporation and Nine Entertainment Co signed a new regional affiliation deal in March, effectively ending WIN’s bulletins on Channel 10.
