Mario Peshev’s Biography
I'm the CEO of DevriX – a distributed WordPress development agency of 30 building high-end scalable solutions for large corporations and international brands. We do serve accounts in the automotive, airline, educational and high-tech industries managing billions of annual revenue as well as fast-paced startups innovating in their field.
On a day-to-day I wear multiple hats, usually coordinating business strategy and growth, supporting different departments at DevriX. From hands-on development, building internal processes between teams, mentoring and inspiring, or getting my hands dirty with marketing and sales funnels.
Tech: I’ve started building static websites in 1999, QBasic/VBasic apps in 2002; continued with Pascal/Delphi/C/C++ at school, got Java certified in 2007 and nowadays play with PHP, Python, JS. DevOps, server management, scalability on a daily basis after my C)SWAE security background. I’ve been contributing to WordPress Core for several years now and released and consulted hundreds of plugins and tools in the ecosystem.
Management: Currently leading a team of 25 in different departments. Started back in 2006 leading a team of engineers working on an enterprise software for a European telecom. Working with multiple organizations, coordinating with decision makers and managing remote teams since.
Speaking: Over 10,000 hours in speaking and consulting. I’ve led training courses in CERN, Saudi Aramco, VMware, SAP, Software AG and plenty of other companies and organizations. A seasoned trainer at universities and private training academies, speaker at technical and business events in Europe and the US.
Marketing and Sales: While being casually engaged in marketing activities through organizations over the past 12 years, things changed in 2008 with my first full-time freelancing efforts. DevriX was started in 2010 and some of our first clients were PR and marketing agencies.
We built several SaaS platforms with sales and marketing funnels, social media integrations, analytics platforms and marketing automation in 2012 and 2013 when I got Inbound Marketing certified. Lately I’ve been A/B testing strategies in some of our projects and helping out SMB owners with growth strategy.
Community: Co-organized WordCamp Europe for a while, one of the two largest WordPress events in the world. I’ve been involved with the organization of a dozen technical and business events since 2006 hosting up to 3,000 attendees.
I’m mentoring event organizers, regularly speak and consult at WordPress events and marketing conferences, sponsor and contribute to several open source projects.
