The Barnstable Patriot — “I don’t want to bury my kid. She was supposed to bury me,” said Germana Ferreira, the grief-stricken mother of a Hyannis woman found shot and stabbed to death at a rest area on Route 6 in Barnstable last weekend. Christine Ferreira’s body was spotted by a motorist at about 4 a.m. at the rest area between exits 6 and 7 in Barnstable, according to Cape and Islands District Attorney Michael O’Keefe. Ferreira, 28, died from “multiple stabbing injuries and multiple gunshot wounds,” O’Keefe said.
