What was your first job as a journalist?

I took on an agency ghostwriting gig that became my gateway to editorial work and large-scale publishing.

How is social media changing news?

It's making immediate news the expectation, which is very interesting for someone who manages social accounts while also writing articles.

What's the funniest news-related #hashtag you've seen?

I remember writing about the Phoenix floods and Waymo self-driving cars, seeing #waymonomo, and that spoke to me.

What's your favorite social network?

Oddly enough, Flipboard is awesome. Underrated by many, except for me. TikTok is my unprofessional answer.

When's the best time to pitch you?

Right. Now.

What's the worst pitch you ever got?

0.1 cent per word was pretty nonclimactic, considering the gig was a fantasy novel project.
