How important is i-link?
#1 About to invest in an amp / "universal" player (budget £3K ish for the both) and on the face of it, keeping the audio connectivity in the digital domain via ilink seems like a good idea. Thoughts? #2 It definately sounds best with my Pioneer Ax5i and 868 combo. Previously I'd used a decent pair of analogue interconnects, then digital via co-ax.
Badger vs The Ginger Ninjas
Right, where do I begin with this little saga? A few weeks ago our two ginger toms (cats to those who don't know) started to act rather strangely. They didn't want to go into the back garden, and have tended to stay much closer to the house than they usually do. Well, the wife and I came back late one night, and we could hear an awful commotion coming from the garage. So I walked round the back and behind the garage were the two cats, trying to face up to what first looked like a small bear.
TDL Studio 10's (That bad?)
#1 My speakers are long overdue for an upgrade. I like the Monitor b4 floorstanders from richersounds.ie. The TDL Studio 10's are alot cheaper but ive heard good & bad things about them, unsure what to do. I'm sure the HiFi snobs dont like them but can they really be that bad? They have to be an improvement on the fronts i have now. Richer Sounds sell good quality gear and give great service so i doubt they would carry such a bad product as the 10's are made out to be.
How do Goths cope in the summer?
#1 I was wondering how Goths cope in the summer wearing all that black clothing, Is Gothism a growing trend or has it become confined to the past? #2 Didnt you know, they only come out at night? My Rockband 2 progress so far..... Guitar Expert; 449/451 damned caprici diablo Drum Expert; Warmup 40/40, Apprentice 36/36, Solid 51/51, Moderate 133/133, Challenging 78/78, Nightmare 59/60, Impossible 36/53. #3 Gothism is a strange occult. I find that being a Goth is an expression of depression.
Monitor Audio Platinum Series - Discussion Thread
#1 Hi All, Thanks to Canti1982 here in the speakers forum, as Canti's posted a link in a thread with info on the Monitor Audio Platinum range of speakers, the range up from the Gold Signature Series. Pics nabbed from a german site, but appear to be official Monitor Audio's pics so seems ok to post. Wow, if they sound anywhere near as good as they look....
Enigma Amp - Anybody remember who made them ?
spedhent Guest #1 Hi there. I'am trying to hunt down a amp my farther once owned which was called "Enigma", it was a two slice amp with both stacked on top of one another with them both having a black glass front. The amp was made way back in the late 70's from a specialist shop where it was manufactured in Brighton, UK. Acording to my father they also made another amp called "Albarry".
